Sprinklers splashed the Intramural Field at the University of Findlay in anticipation of the annual mud volleyball event hosted by sorority Sigma Kappa on August 30th. Music boomed from the loudspeakers letting students know that that was the place to be on Friday evening.nThis event was a part of Greek Week at the University, being one of many events that took place on campus.

Mackenzie Smith, Sophomore Psychology Major at the University of Findlay and webmaster and historian for Sigma Kappa, was a little worried about the turn out since Labor Day weekend was approaching.

“I know I didn’t go last year. I wasn’t in Sigma Kappa yet last year for this,” she said. “But I’ve heard that the turnout is usually pretty great.”

Smith also says that this week is just to get to know everyone in or outside of Greek Life.

“Even if you aren’t interested in Greek Life you can still come and hang out. We just wanna hang out with people and have a good time,” Smith said.

Smith said that this was Sigma Kappa’s 23rd year hosting the Mud Volleyball match.
