The University of Findlay’s Campus Ministry offers a wide array of bible studies and social opportunities that are open to all UF students. This includes 10 weekly opportunities and 10 special events during the spring semester.

Revive is an on-campus Worship service held at 9 p.m. in Winebrenner each Thursday night. During these services, there is a time of worship and a short sermon by Matt Ginter, Director of Christian Ministries. This is a time where many students get to interact with each other and to meet new friends of faith, according to sophomore history major and Revive Worship team leader Selah Fernandez.

“You’re creating those relationships with other students here on campus and continuing to dig into your faith,” Fernandez said. “I think that the most important part of being a leader is having that firm foundation of scripture and of that fellowship with other people.”

The sermon series for spring 2024 is Salty Spirituality covering Matthew 6-7 and going over what an effective faith walk looks like. There are many ways to get involved at Revive, including playing in the worship band and being a part of the welcome team.

COED bible studies are an opportunity to meet new people and learn more about scriptures. COED takes place on Mondays at 7 p.m. and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. in CBSL 136. Monday night COED covers the life of Moses and walking through the book of Numbers. Tuesday night COED covers 2 Corinthians. Senior business administration major Kayla Reinbolt is a leader of COED on Tuesdays.

“We’re getting into passages that are tough to comprehend,” Reinbolt said. “We’re getting into passages that people might not have much experience with like spiritual gifts, that was a tough one. But everyone was intrigued by it.”

Follow First is a bible study for first year students, examining what following Jesus looks like in college.  Follow First meets on Sundays at 7 p.m. in CBSL 136. According to junior primary education major and Follow First leader Lauren Beard, this semester they will cover Evangelism, Testimony, Fasting, what a Lukewarm Christian is, Relationships and what the Bible says about it, Salvation, Easter, LGBTQIA+ and Discernment.

“Follow First is geared towards just freshman. It’s nice to be with people your own age and who are experiencing the same things as you are,” Beard said.
