Sigma Tau Delta Xi Theta Chapter in partnership with the Writing Center Club is hosting an Abstracts Writing Event on October 23rd in the GFAP Malcom room from 5-7 p.m. There will be guest speakers, including English Department Faculty members, as well as one-on-one help and group workshops with writing center tutors, Sigma Tau Delta members, and Writing Center Club members. Participants will learn what an abstract is, when you would need one, why you write an abstract and most importantly, how to write one.
This event is open to everyone who is in need of help in writing an Abstract, or at any point in the Abstract writing process. The event comes right around the time when English 106 classes will start to write their Literature Review papers, where they will need to include Abstracts. English 106 students are encouraged to come, as well as any student in need of an abstract for any other type of paper or conference presentation.
