Over the weekend the University of Findlay men’s baseball team lost four games as Ohio Dominican swept them in the weekend series. In the first game the Oilers lost 3-0 as they could not manage to push any runs across the plate.  Ohio Dominican scored runs in the second, fifth, and sixth innings as well as great pitching from their starter, Brad Wilson. Austin Rodesky took the loss on the mound for the Oilers as he fell to 2-5 on the year.

During the second game on Saturday, the Oilers’ bats came alive as they scored seven runs. Unfortunately, Findlay allowed runs in the seventh and eighth innings, and Ohio Dominican escaped with the 8-7 win. AJ Cecil took the loss for the Oilers.

On Sunday, the Oilers again dropped both games to Ohio Dominican as they lost by scores of 11-0 and 10-1, respectively. During the first game, the Oilers’ pitching was knocked around as they allowed eighteen hits and eleven runs. During the second game, it was more of the same as Ohio Dominican scored ten runs. The Oilers are back in action Wednesday April 23 at home against Urbana.
