The week before Easter break was a busy one at the University of Findlay campus as the Presidential Search Committee hosted four finalists to replace the current university president, Katherine Fell, Ph.D.
Fell announced her retirement on Oct. 17, 2025, after 16 years at UF. Her contract wraps up on July 31.
As part of the selection process for her replacement, all faculty and staff were invited to participate in open forum sessions with the final candidates this week. In the Winebrenner Auditorium each candidate presented their thoughts and perceptions of the future of UF and made the case for how they would help shape the University’s future. After which, faculty and staff had the opportunity to ask questions of each candidate.
The Pulse offers a look at each candidate in this special series:
David A. King, Ed.D. is the current president of Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
