University of Findlay Media and Communication student Grant Goodfellow worked with the Black Heritage Library and Multicultural Center, 817 Harmon Street, Findlay to produce a night of Imagine, Innovate, and Inspire.
The event is called Speak Up and features three different speakers: Dr. Megan Adams, Seth Butler, and Orion Jones.
Adams is an associate professor of media and communication and director of the Master of Arts in professional communication program at UF, a TEDx Speaker, as well as co-founder and CEO of Homeplace Creative.
Butler is a spoken word artist, TEDx Speaker, and consultant and calls himself a conversation starter who loves to dive into topics around relational curiosity and human connections.
Jones is the founder and CEO of True North Motivation and the executive director of True North Outreach Foundation, where he notes on his LinkedIn page “the mission is to strengthen leaders from the inside out through purpose, self-respect, and self-discipline.”
The event begins at 7 p.m. and costs $5 at the door. University of Findlay students can get in for free with their student I.D. You can also watch the event stream live on UFTV.
Alex Parker, assistant director for campus and community engagement at UF, is the host for the evening.
