It took 78 minutes for the University of Findlay women’s soccer team to score in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) semi-final and less than 12 minutes to wrap up a 1-0 win against Cedarville University at Ashland University’s Ferguson Field Thursday, Nov. 13.
Senior Payton Miller scored with an assist by senior Sydney Noble. Goalie senior Cat Graves had five saves in the game.
At 5 p.m. Nov. 15 the Lady Oilers will take on the winner of the Northwood vs Ashland match in the championship game.
Ashland’s record is 12-2-4 overall, 10-0-4 in the conference. Findlay’s record is 12-3-4 overall and 10-2-2 in the conference.
Earlier in the day, the G-MAC announced All-Conference Teams. Noble, along with seniors Jenna Rybicki, and Avary Zeisloft were named first team. Sophomore Ashlyn Brown and junior Raegan Smith were named second team.
Findlay had six players selected, including three first team picks, two second team picks, and the 2025 G-MAC Freshman of the Year. Seniors Jenna Rybicki, Noble, Zeisloft were all named first team while sophomore Ashlyn Brown and junior Raegan Smith were named second team. Addison Williams was named Freshman of the Year.
UF men’s soccer came to an end in the semi-final against No. 23 Tiffin University, losing 2-1 in the Thursday, Nov. 13 game. The team ends the season 9-6-4 overall, 8-3-3 in the conference.
Three players from the men’s team were named to the All Conference Teams.
First team honors went to graduate student Tom Middleham and juniors Andre Sardinha and Carson Oberski were named to the second team.
