With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s time to plan a fun night for your Valentine, but on a budget since college can be expensive after all.
If you and your Valentine like games and crafts, try painting your own plate/mug/etc. at Painter’s Pottery, taking on a few frames of Duckpin Bowling at Alexandria’s, or building your own terrarium at 3 Oaks. If you’re a game fan, Main Street Bar & Arcade offers classic arcade games and a wide selection of beers, drinks, and cocktails for those over 21.
For something more low-key and very budget-friendly, head over to Coffee Amici to try one of their 14 seasonal Valentine’s Day drinks. Dietsch’s Brothers serves up ice cream and treats all year round for a sweet date night.
Findlay has plenty of places to enjoy both gourmet and quiet dinners, too. Logan’s Irish Pub offers appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, Irish entrees and an extensive drink menu in a cozy atmosphere. If a fast-food dinner date is more your style, chains like Chipotle, Chick-Fil-A, Raising Cane’s and Panda Express are all within 10 minutes of campus.
For those who don’t have any money to spend, consider heading downtown and taking in some of Findlay’s numerous murals. They are great Instagram-worthy photo ops.
Even if there’s no significant other to celebrate with, a Galentine’s night could be fun for any friend group. Head downtown on Feb.15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a Galentine’s Party with treats, specials, and more at downtown shops. Even if you can’t make it on Saturday, Downtown Findlay boasts a wide variety of shopping and dining that you explore for a fun day out.
