The Marvel Cinematic Universe has become one of the most popular franchises in movie history. Here is a look at Phase 5 according to articles published in July by Julia Glassman in “Here’s How the MCU Phase 5 Timeline Will Play Out” and Laura Martin in “The Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Five & Six Timeline, Explained.”

While She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series premiered last month on Disney+ the rest of phase five will begin roll out next year.

Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania movie: Feb. 17, 2023

This is Ant Man’s first movie since phase three, and although the plot of the movie is not yet out to the public, there are a few things we do know. Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang will join the superhero team of Ant Man and Wasp as Stature, a shrinking superhero. We are also promised a second look at Kang the Conqueror, who we first saw in Loki Season 1.

Secret Invasion series: Spring 2023

This series focuses on the Skrulls, a race of the Kree empire first introduced in Captain Marvel. They are shapeshifters that have been seen to replace multiple identities throughout the MCU in the previous phases, Including Spiderman: Far From Home, and Wandavision.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 movie: May 5, 2023

The third film of this group of misfits has many things to look forward too. We will get to see the team butt heads with Adam Warlock and the High Evolutionary, not yet seen characters in the MCU. It has also been said by director James Gunn that this movie will also show some of Rocket’s backstory, including him as a baby.

The Marvels movie: July 28, 2023

This film highlights both past and current MCU heroes. Captain Marvel from the earlier phases as well as Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau from phase 4. The end of the series Ms. Marvel showed a glimpse of Carol Danvers, setting the stage for this film. We also know the villain will be played by Zawe Ashton, but it has not yet been named what villain it will be.

Loki series Season 2: Summer 2023

Season 1 ended with a lot of loose ends, leaving many possibilities for season 2. All we know is that we will see Loki and Sylvie, and most likely more from Kang the Conqueror as they try and fix the infinite multiverses that arose at the end of season 1.

Echo series: Summer 2023

Echo was introduced in the phase 4 series Hawkeye, in more of a villainous role. Until the show ended with her putting a bullet in Kingpins head. There isn’t much information out about the plot, but we do know that Echo is now a free agent in the superhero world.

Blade movie Nov. 3, 2023

Blade will be the MCU introduction to the vampire world. It was first hinted at in the end credits of Eternals, when Dane Whitman pulls out the ebony blade, and an offscreen character says, “Sure you’re ready for that, Mr. Whitman?”. Not much is known about what the movie will entail entirely.

Ironheart series: Late 2023

Ironheart is a teenage genius that attends MIT at age 11. She builds her own ironman suit out of stolen parts. She will first be seen in the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever that will close phase 4. Her role in this movie will give us an idea of how her series will play out

Agatha: Coven of Chaos series: Winter 2023

Agatha Harkness made her evil debut in the Wandavison series, as an evil witch. That is the extent of what we know about this upcoming series. Many fans wonder if it will take place pre- or post- Wandavision.

Daredevil: Born Again series: Spring 2024

A series that already has a few seasons out on Netflix will be transitioning to Disney Plus. Since it is a few years out, we aren’t very sure what the plot entails; but do get to enjoy some cameos in both Spider-Man: Far From Home, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Captain America: New World Order. May 3, 2024

This film will follow along after the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where Sam Wilson is in possession of Captain Americas Shield. With years to come before production, not much else is known about the film.

Thunderbolts. July 26, 2024

In the comics, this group of individuals are ex-villains that start using their powers for good. We have already seen three members of the projected cast in Yelena Belova, Soldier John Walker, and the ringleader, La Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
