WLFC’s top picks

WLFC does not play the typical music you hear on the radio. Much of the Northwest Ohio radio waves are filled with country, Christian, and pop music. At WLFC, we play independent label music. These aren’t the songs you often hear on the radio. In order to pick the top songs circulating, our DJs vote on songs.

The top songs played at the station are called Power Current. This is a group of 15 songs voted on by the WLFC staff as the top songs currently at the station. By playing Power Current songs, listeners get a sense of the musical tastes of our staff, as well as a sense of the most popular songs in the Indie industry.

We also have a group of songs called Currents. These are the top 20 songs in our library according to college radio music charts that missed the Power Current list. Our goal is to keep the station as up-to-date and popular as possible.

Whether you are a new listener or a seasoned listener, you will not be disappointed by the song selection at WLFC.
