This week our spotlight artist is Barns Courtney. Barns recently released his debut album, “The Attractions of Youth,” and every song on the album feels like it has breakout potential. From start to finish, you’d be hard-pressed to find a misfire.

Chances are you’ve heard Courtney already and don’t even know it. “Glitter and Gold” has been used in several commercials, including the 2016 NBA Finals promos on ESPN. the WWE has used “Hellfire” and “Little Boy” in promotional packages, and “Fire” appeared in the movie “Burnt,” which starred Bradley Cooper.

While those songs draw you in, it’s songs like “Hobo Rocket” and “Kicks” that keep you coming back. They are upbeat, catchy, and perfect listening for a road trip.

You can catch Courtney’s first single “Golden Dandelions” in heavy rotation on WLFC.
