Spring Commencement plans set for May 6

Soon hundreds of University of Findlay graduates will make the traditional march out of the Griffith Memorial Arch in front of Old Main. It’s one of the traditions at UF that starts a student’s freshman year with the march onto campus through the Arch.

Saturday May 6 begins with the graduate commencement ceremony at 9 a.m. in the Malcolm Athletic Center of the Koehler Complex.

The University will hold a commencement brunch in the Alumni Memorial Union at 11 a.m. Reservations are required for that event.

The undergraduate commencement ceremony will start at 3 p.m.

Joy Brown, media relations coordinator at the University says a total of 815 are expected to graduate this spring and summer and 250 graduated last fall.

Featured speakers scheduled for the events are Adam Hechko ’02, DVM, for the graduate ceremony, and Ohio Senator Randy Gardner, R-Bowling Green, for the undergraduate ceremony.

Those unable to attend the spring ceremony can watch the event on UFTV on its YouTube Channel: UFTV Productions.
