Findlay experiences a mobile meth lab chase

The city of Findlay may seem like a quiet town with an inviting family atmosphere. This perception was shaken on Feb. 22, 2017 when a man led police on a chase through the heart of the city at rush hour.

According to The Courier, the chase started in Wood County and proceeded to go through the city of Fostoria before ending with a crash at the intersection of South Main Street and Sandusky Street in Findlay. According to The Courier, there were multiple law enforcement agencies involved in the pursuit, including the U.S Marshals.

At the conclusion of the chase, the suspect’s red pickup crashed into another vehicle in the intersection and then ran into a public park at the corner of the intersection, according to The Courier.

According to the U.S Marshals Service, the suspect was identified as 45-year-old William Millron Sr.

Millron Sr. had several outstanding warrants in Maumee, Wood County, and Florida. According to Toledo-based TV station WTOL 11, when the pursuit entered Findlay, police began to block traffic and close intersections.

After the chase ended, police searched Millron’s pickup and found chemicals and other items related to the making of methamphetamines. Millron is currently being held at the Hancock County Justice Center.
