At Hillsdale College, the Great Midwest Conference outright title was at stake as the Findlay Oilers volleyball team traveled to take on the Chargers of Hillsdale. The game would not only give the Oilers team the outright regular season title, but would also allow Findlay to host the G-MAC Volleyball Conference Championship at home.

Coming into the game, Findlay had a one game edge over Hillsdale with only one loss to Hillsdale`s two in conference play. The games were back and forth filled with momentum. Hillsdale would lead only for Findlay to claw its way back to try and switch the momentum. When it came down to it, Hillsdale ultimately had too much for the Oilers and proceeded to win the match 3-0 with victories of 25-19, 25-18, and 25-17. Serving aces and an effective hitting percentage throughout were key components for Hillsdale`s success against Findlay Friday evening.

With the loss, the two teams share the Great Midwest Conference Title, and look to prepare for the postseason soon approaching. The Findlay Oilers are looking to bounce back and make a run at the conference championship title. With a regular season record of 25-5 on the year, the Oilers will attempt to go for their first ever G-MAC Championship.

The volleyball conference championship will be held at Hillsdale College beginning November 16 _ 18. Although Hillsdale and Findlay tied for first in the conference, Findlay will make its run for the title as the number two seed in the tournament based off the head to head ratio against Hillsdale (5-3 in regards to sets won).
